Sabrina Mansfield is an award-winning director, writer and line producer. She has directed commercials, music videos, multi-cam sitcoms, a reality show, over 20 shorts, and a feature. As a writer, Sabrina brand is kids TV. Besides being able to write comedy, Sabrina’s voice can be described simply as: If Norman Lear wrote kids shows. Her work showcases her focus on the working-class, POC and issues of equity, racial equality and connection.

Sabrina has a particular love for kids TV because of her experiences as a foster/adopt mom in LA County for the past 12 years, including many kids/teens who have been placed under “Intensive Treatment Foster Care.” Because of this, she has spent a lot of time thinking about children’s social/emotional development and how to help them recover from trauma (plus, being an ally to such incredible kids has led to a lot of hilarity as well!). As a writer/director, multi-cam is Sabrina’s passion. She was the first grad student at USC to shoot an original multi-cam pilot (& an Episode 1) in front of a live audience and is now (for the SECOND YEAR!) in the final interview stage for the ABC/Disney Director’s fellowship for their daytime multi-cam programming.
